Bloody hell that’s expensive… it looks very cool, but $40 for a glorified stick is a bit much for me.

Got an email about this the other day. After I got burned spending £30 on that Ltd edition Pokemon box from Zavvi which was basically a box of tat, I will not be spending money on tat ever again.

I love Windwaker. It’s my favorite Zelda of all time, but $40? That’s highway robbery.

It’s literally a stick. There’s no actual reason for the price to be that high other than to extort fans they know will pay for it!

Maybe it’ll be worth it to a cosplayer or something.

I know everyones gonna hate me for this, but I HAVE to get this. WW is my childhood, my favorite game of all time so this is so cool. 40 dollars is a little bit too much, so I’ll wait for the price to go down.

@The_Ninja It’s likely to be one of those limited run items where they only make a certain amount and then they’re gone forever. Waiting for the price to go down is probably an unwise idea.

That’s outrageously pricey! Very cool, but so pricey.

@GravyThief Agreed. I also got that terrible Pokebox, but found out later that those Mew cards actually sell for a price close to the box’s value. Maybe a few years down the line we’ll get the last laugh

$40 for what is effectively a modified chopstick? Pass!

@HydroTendonMan Well that’s good to know. It certainly won’t be getting any use so it’ll still be in mint condition years down the line!

You can get this 3D printed for a heck of a lot cheaper.

He look, a $40 white stick!

Whoever throws away $40 on a white piece of plastic is an straight up idiot. You’d be better off giving that money to a hobo.

How many inches and is it properly balanced? If so, it’s worth the $40

I don’t care about wind manipulation as long as I can teleport. Pre-ordered.

For that price the inside might as well be made out of unicorn hairs and diamonds.

For $40 that thing better control wind, do my taxes, finish The Lost Levels for me, and make me a sammich. Wow!

@teamshortcut it reminds of an episode of Big Bang. One of the charecters ordered a hand crafted Harry Potter wand and when he got it, it was just a stick in a box.

Tempting, but for $40? I’ll pass.

…Unless it has a dragon heartstring core.

Hmmm… it is a bit steep, but… it’s the Wind Waker, so I feel almost obligated.

I was surprised when the conductor pulled one out at the London concert the other day. They never had one last year. I’m actually wondering why it’s not a permanent fixture…he only used it for the Wind Waker movement. They need to Zelda-up the orchestra more really. The conductor could wear a green Link cap, maybe even dress in green. It would be great if some of the musicians dressed up as characters too but that’s highly unlikely especially as they don’t travel on the tour. It’s just, I’ve been twice now and they need to change things up a bit more than just changing a movement with music from a current release.

Already preordered mine yesterday. I still get chills remembering the first time I saw the conductor whip the wind waker out to conduct the windwaker part of the concert. I didn’t know my voice could go that high when I screamed…

I’m going to the show in Hollywood in June, and would love this, but $40 for a thin piece of plastic is highway robbery. $15, tops.

The collector side of me wants to order it.

But for a piece of plastic shaped like the wind waker, I can’t justify it.

@Baker1000 fully agree. I’ve always said that perhaps people dressed in full character costumes could come to the front of the stage and re-enact moments from the piece of music being played. It would add so much more to the overall show. I’ve been twice too, and while it’s still amazing, something more could bring it further to life.

  40 bucks? That’s crazily overpriced!

It’s just a small plastic stick, it doesn’t even have moving parts or do anything at all. This should be 9.99 at most. Just wow.

Yeah… I’ll go for that 3D printed one. $40 is absolutely ridiculous for an item like this.

Yeah, my brother has a 3D printer so all I gotta do is find a 3d file for a wind waker.

$40. What a freakin’ joke. A plastic stick that looks poorly moulded/cheap in dollar store toy packaging. Screw that. I’d rather save my money for a 3D printer and print one myself. Or go to a ‘maker space’ nearby and use their 3D printer to make one.
