During the conference call, Ubisoft confirmed that it is still working on?the?Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, and even went so far as to set a sort of deadline for itself. If all goes according to plan, the game will be released before the end of this fiscal year, meaning fans can expect to see it out before April 2022. That gives Ubisoft a lot of wiggle room to polish the game without committing to a specific release date, but still provides fans with a closer approximation of when it will release.
Aside from all the normal things that cause video games to get delayed, there are two main factors that are likely contributing to the?Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The first of these factors is the Coronavirus pandemic, an unprecedented event that has put stoppers in video game development all around the world. One report even claimed that 44% of developers had their games delayed due to COVID-19. Beyond this, there was also criticism of?the graphics of?Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake?when it was first revealed that prompted the developer to revamp the game’s visual qualities. It’s possible that those changes are still being made as well.
Regardless, barring another unexpected delay, fans should be able to finally play the?Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time?Remake?sometime before April of 2022. That’s quite a long time to wait given that the game was supposed to be out already if not for previous delays, but hopefully that extra time gives the developer a chance to make the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time?Remake?look amazing and be?a truly great experience.
