Apex Legends Mobile is probably one of the most anticipated battle royal game that will make its debut on the Android platform soon. However, if recent reports are to be believed, the game might not be available this year. As per Andrew Wilson, CEO, Electronics Arts, the company is planning for a soft launch of the game in 2021. This means that the commercial launch might happen in 2022. “As is the nature of mobile games, we have a series of closed beta tests, open beta tests and then soft launches to ensure we’re appropriately treating the metrics. What we’ve done is apply the same orientation the team has had around the core franchise, which is to make sure we get the gameplay and the event strategy around the gameplay right, and listen to players and deliver on what (they) want out of that experience,” Wilson said. The game is currently in closed beta testing stages, meaning that the soft launch might happen in December this year, followed by a public launch by 2022.
